Hope that was not too many to post. It is so hard trying to choose which ones to share. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Good photos! How cooperative was your little subject there? ;)

Very nice !! he looks like he was well behaved for you! That always makes it go smooth

Great work! 6,7 and 8 don’t do much for me but the composition and exposure in the rest are great. 1 really sticks out for me and I like the tilted horizons in some. Well done.

Eric

yeah a very good job! to be honest the only one I don't like is number 12 because it looks more like a snapshot. the rest are great! what about your little model? how did he behave?

I love these photos, you're lucky to have such a cooperative little subject hehe. :)

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Keep them comming. I am really working hard on building a portfolio and want to have some great photos for it.

As for my subject..oh goodness...lol He did all he could to NOT look at me. He would say cheese and all but look at the ground or to the side. These are the only pics I thought were decent after 2 1/2 hours and 400 pics later so beleive me it took a lot to get these shots..lol I was holding things up, making crazy noises, anything I could to get him to look at me.

If there are any ideas of things I could do better next time I would love ot hear them. It was a bit bright that day so he was kinda squinty and the sun was a bit harsh so i know I need to choose a day with a tab bit of an overcast.

They look great, my only tip would be to include less in a portfolio! Include one of your best and then everyone will think all your shots are that good. Although in your case, they do all appear to be.

I know this is a different situation though so no offence intended.

I do a lot of children's portraits and I'm learning that sometimes you just kind of have to follow them around and let them do their own thing and be patient and wait to get shots where they'll look at you and the camera. Kids tend to get very impatient with adults telling them to "Look over here" or "smile!" Sometimes I try to figure out a way for them to be playing and distracted (so they're not running around moving from spot to spot-which is extremely difficult to photograph) like having them play in the sand so they are sitting and then I move myself around them and occaisonally call their name to get them to look up at me.
I don't know...I'm still figuring out the best way myself:)
