Ok, so first I should probably apologize for being absent lately... but the hubs and I recently found out we are expecting our first child and I've been so distracted!!!

That being said, I've been spending a lot of time on certain baby forums, reading up and trying to learn as much as possible before little one arrives.

I joined a group called "Amateur Photography". While I do not claim to be a pro or anything close, this group really makes me chuckle.

I hope I'm not coming off like a pretentious ass...really not trying to talk mad ish about the photos. I guess what I found funny was how nice the critiques are. I don't think they'd survive around here...

LOL, silly moms. "PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me edit this. I have tons of pictures with bad lighting that look too cool. I really want to warm it up or give it a vintage feel. I am not good at editting and I have pse 8. I don't have any actions, but I can download free ones."

At first I thought this was a dig at me because my "name" here is mommyphotog. But I totally understand what you're saying. I'm no pro by any means but I am more advance than the average mom. I do have other mom's ask me ALL the time what camera I have,like that will magically make their pics pro quality.
Congrats on your new addition. And as a mom,with all this talk, I'm going to show off my boy!

lolz @Derrel. I knew that's how it came out... but not what I intended. Looking at other photography forums really makes me appreciate the actual CC we get here from the more experienced.

@mommyphotog- no way was it a dig at every mommy with a camera... after all, I'll be one soon!

Obviously not the kind of camera that spouts advice like "don't shoot in dappled light", "put the sun behind your subject", "strange desaturations are not attractive"...
