Photographer In Front of the Lens

For my commercial studio lighting class, we went to Bel Mar shopping area in Lakewood, Colorado. We were shooting architecture but two people from my class and I took portraits of each other. Critiques on this one would be much appreciated.

I shot this in jpg, very minimal Photoshop work. What do you think of the pose? Could this be better? If so, how? Suggestions. Anything in general you have to say.

it looks fine, i don't know about the brick though, but under the circumstances, it's fine.

I'm trying to improve. I liked the brick for her better than the bright pink wall to the left of her. haha -- the brick just seemed more appropriate. But thanks for commenting!!!!
