We had a really good electrical storm here recently; really strong fork lightning. I set my camera up on a tripod, focussed at infinity and set shutter to "B". Every time I saw a good flash I'd release the shutter, wind on and repeat. When I got the pictures back, the lightining had just illuminated the whole sky, all the forks were lost. So how do I photograph fork lightning?

So if you had the shutter on bulb setting, how long did you have it open for each exposure? It sounds like you overexposed the sky.
