A group of us got together this evening to photograph anyone who would let us... on Mill Ave in Tempe AZ... we had a blast.

The idea behind the shoot was this video...
Street photography in Tempe Arizona -Video by Clay Enos

Something I had wanted to try for a long time now.

We setup a piece of white seamless.... asked people if they would come over for a couple of shots.

It was a great exercise for us all... how to bring people in for one... then capture a decent shot in 30-45 sec and then move on. Most people we asked were kind enough to pose.

We had a blast to say the least. Some people were nervous and needed coaching... others just flat out went crazy in front of the camera.

A fun night out.... round up some friends and go do something like this if you haven't... it's a blast... and it really helps you communicate with complete strangers.

FUN!

agreed with tirediron

wow.

Wish I had seen these before I started my graded unit.
The graded unit was also based on Street photography and I researched Clay enos but my images are more like that of michael itkoff's.

Great work!

Oh my!! This seems like so much fun!

These turned out quite well! kudos on a job well done :)

next time do it with no back drop.

Thank you very much.

Great idea and nice results.
Do you have a photo of the setup in the street?

Lew
Hi Lew, all we did was find some covered shade and we taped a small square of white seamless paper to the brick wall. Very simple setup. :)

Then there would have been bricks... didn't want that look.

Thanks for the comments all.

I watched that YT video last weekend and clicked 'favourite'. I would absolutely LOVE to do that one day it looks like so much fun and personally, I love talking to strangers! lol! i wish I knew people who were interested in doing the same project.

Great job, OP! I think they're brilliant.

Would you mind sharing which camera, lens and settings you used?

Looks like i need to round up 102 of my photographer friends and hit the street :)
Awesome job!

EDIT: make that 1 or 2 not 102... that would be just to much
