Photography Block

Being an 8-yr old boy trapped in a late-20's body... I take pictures of random stuff in my apartment (aka, toys... but not in the traditional light box manner... haha) since the weather here renders outside shooting worthless

just take a water dropper and drip water into a bowl of water. Set your camera on a tripod and use the remote to activate the shutter as the drop hits the water. With practice and good timing, you can get nice shots. You'll need to get the shutter speeds up pretty high so lots of light, flash or high ISO may be necessary.

good luck

Have family/friends write down an object on a piece of paper.

Toss all the suggestions into a hat and draw one.

After photgraphing the subject normally for awhile, try to think of a new way to look at it. For instance if you picked "windows", try not only architectural ones, but maybe someone's eyes too. They are afterall, the windows/gateway to the soul.

Have fun with whatever you do.

Perhaps since most of the work you have shown us is in the studio, take the camera outside for a while.

Participate in the new "assignments" in the TPF forum. The lastest are red and moving or frozen water. It's a distraction, but in the same breath, a focus. I've been enjoying them.
