Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So, I just finally decided to take the plunge. Photography has always been something I've been interested in, but about three weeks ago I finally bought a DSLR (NIkon D3100) and jumped in.

My main photographic interests are: concert photography, street photography, architectural photography, landscape photography, animal photography, abstract photography, sports photography and macro. (basically all the types that are relatively hard to make money doing, lol)

One thing I have decided to do is take and post at least one photograph every day and post it to my blog: As If I'm Really Conscious. I thought it would be interesting to be able to have a few people follow my progress, make suggestions, etc.

Since I've just been doing this for 2.5 weeks now, I'm not particularly good yet, but I am immensely enjoying it.

My gear is: Nikon D3100; Nikkor 35mm prime f/1.8; Nikkor 18-55mm VR (kit lens); Nikkor 55-200mm telephoto (non VR). and various assorted accessories and filters. I use Aperture and pixelmator (though I haven't actually used pixelmator yet) for post processing on my macbook air. Contemplating photoshop elements for mac, but I figure I'll wait a while on that, as Aperture already has more than I know what to do with anyway.

I generally shoot in aperture priority mode (started that this week) and just finally today figured out how to control ISO and exposure compensation with the master turn wheel, lol.

Welcome aboard.

Cool how are you finding your new D3100 I'm pretty chuffed with mine I bought mine about two months ago and I mostly use AP mode but have dabbled with the M mode ....nothing to shout about so far but I'm like yourself a complete beginner and I've been playing for around 12 months now and I started with a bridge camera which I still like to use now and then ... But that really got me salivating and so I saved up and got me my 3100 with kit lens and 70-300 tamron zoom I'm sure you will get into it and get some great shots and your idea of documenting progress is great (with feedback) ..... Why didn't I think of that ..... Anyway happy shooting
