Photomatix Pro vs Basic?

Im curious if anyone has used the Photomatix Basic Freeware for HDR images and compared the results to CS3 and the pro results?

I assume the pro has a better quality output than the Basic because of the added features and tweaks. Im a poor student living pretty much month to month right now saving for a location change this summer. Im curious if Basic gives better results than my CS3 can.

I plan on testing both, however im curious what the rest of you think and your results.
