Photos in a magazine

A couple friends of mine are going to start a regional magazine in the eastern PA area and would like to use some of my pics in the magazine. Does anyone have any advice for what the pricing should be to use the pics? Any resources to reference? I doubt any would be used for the cover though I would assume that cost would be different than a pic used randomly within the mag.

We haven't gotten to the point where we'll talk prices (and probably won't for a bit) but when it does come up I want to have an exact number, then negotiate from there rather than having a huge discussion on "what's fair".
