Photoshoot with a Model from Modell Mayhem

You had your EC set at -1 for all of your shots. I'd venture to guess that's why they're all underexposed.
Oh man I think we have another victim of forgetting the exposure comp.

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. That's why I set my settings all back to a baseline after every shoot, so next time i pull the camera out, I know what it's set to.

Also, every last one of your photos looks really soft to me, almost out of focus
 
The only general comment i would do is you might wanna shoot with wider apertures when your backgrounds arent blend.

my eye kept going for the background instead of on the model

I think when shooting outside... To let the model stand out you want to light her specifically, as all mentionned, and isolate her from background with shallower DoF
 
Try the dodge tool in photoshop, just bump up the midtones on the model and leave the background alone rather than just upping the exposure on the entire picture.

Thanks I will give it a try as I haven't given her a final product yet.
