Photoshop Help?

Hey guys,

Looking for a touch of help... I'm working on a image in photoshop and have saved it etc.....in both PSD and Jpeg the "lighting effects" button is faded out.... I was sort've depending on using it to help get an idea across, its for a uni project you see... any one got any ideas why its being lame? :hugs:

Is it black and white? If yes, read on:

If you're talking about the 3D render lighting effects, they only work when the colour space is RGB, so go to Image, Mode, 16 bit RGB.

If no, then the mode of the image is in some way incompatible with the filter/effect.

Hmm, yeh its black and white-that allowed the Lens Flare option to be brought back, however lighting effects are still faded. Bugger, ah well, thanks for trying Rob!

What image mode are you in then??

oh yay, for some reason if i opened the original colour image and pasted the bw version on top it worked, but didnt when i changed the mode directly!
