Photoshop - how to retain EXIF data

Whenever I edit in photoshop my images always lose the exif data. Is there any way to retain it?

The only way I could get photoshop to remove the exif was with the save for web option. Even in save for web there was an option to keep all the exif data.
All other forms of saving the exif remained.
I'm using PS CC.

I guess it should be work by using save for web command.

I think it happens when I do layers or stacking. The final merged image does not have the exif. I'll have to see if I am missing an option somewhere.

i edited this in photoshop and did nothing but press the save button:

DSC_9514-Edit

still has the EXIF
