Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Anyone here know how to (or if I can) embed an image from Picasa onto this site? I am new here (and to picasa) and can't seem to figure it out. There is an option, "copy this to embed image in a website" on picasa, but when I do that, just the code shows up, not the image.

any help would be appreciated.

Don't believe it's possible.. Get a photobucket or Flick'r account..

It's possible!!

On the right menu, there is a section that says "link to this photo". Click on that & check the "Hide album link" box. Select the size you want (thumb, medium, etc). Copy the text that appears in the Embed Image box. It will look something like:

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/3QzY4vZe-YqpJEgNQrHEtQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NIIVomMk_q0/SUByFzF4kLI/AAAAAAAAEIs/f7Z4ysMT6OA/s144/DSC_0195.JPG" /></a>

Remove the parts I've bolded below:

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/3QzY4vZe-YqpJEgNQrHEtQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NIIVomMk_q0/SUByFzF4kLI/AAAAAAAAEIs/f7Z4ysMT6OA/s144/DSC_0195.JPG" /></a>

Then wrap the code in img tags, like this:

{img}http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NIIVomMk_q0/SUByFzF4kLI/AAAAAAAAEIs/f7Z4ysMT6OA/s144/DSC_0195.JPG{/img}

Only use [] brackets instead of {}

OR, click the "insert image" button in the post editor (looks like a mountain with a square sun), paste the URL, then remove the parts I bolded above. Does the same thing.

voila!

Welcome aboard.

Does it work?

Hey! it does, thanks! I did set up a photobucket last night, but I'll get rid of it, as I already have picasa, and who needs one more password!

I just downloaded the new Picasa 3 and I do not see that right box that says link to this photo you speak of. ????

You can see the blue link that says "link to this photo" when you are viewing a photo online that you've already uploaded to an online album.

Its right under the photo information. If you can't see the photo information and the link, then right under the search bar, there should be a box with two arrows, <<, if you click on that, a tab will pop up that has the options I spoke of.

Then when you click that, more options pop up, and then do what OregonAmy says to do.

What I do is to open the picture you want to link here. Once open, right click on the photo and go to properties.

Copy everything to the right of Address (URL).

Now come here, click on the Insert image button and paste the address that you copied into there.

Voila......
