PICTURE SIZE

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos OK to edit
    What is the best size picture to post on this site? I don't want to reduce a picture to the point I have lost all quality, but I also don't want to have a monster on my post.

    Can others edit my Photos:

    Keep it to under 800 pixels wide and it will be fine. After resizing it, sharpen it to bring back some detail.

    In PS, if its a landscape shot, i usually go for 700 pixles on the longest (horizontal) side... the vertical side is then automatically changed to around 470pixels.

    If its a portrait, i try to go a bit smaller so that it fits on peoples monitors without having to scroll..... si i'd go something like 600 pixels on the longest (vertical) side, and the horizontal will then be about 400 pixels.

    Its always good to try and add a touch more sharpening after you have re-sized and are about to save the jpeg. ;)
