Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
well, i feel like posting but don't want to post anything old or from the jobs i've just done. so i went out and shot around town today and was EXTREMELY dissapointed with everything i got, but i guess i'll post them anyways. so sad :(

oh, and some of these drop to black, please no criticism on that, i'm well aware there could be greater tonality, however we just got finished studying weegee. he shot EVERYTHING with direct flash, f/16, 200th/sec, focused at 10ft. i emulated this on the photos of the man with the bike. i didn't suceed i don't think. the way his all dropped off into black seemed so much better

feel free to criticize anything else :)

before anyone else can say it i will, my vignetting on the one with the house sucks

some great captures mike! number 4 and 5 definitely take the bill though IMO. great tones on 4!

stop worrying about justifying yourself for little things, we don't mind at all (if you want us to care post in the critique forum). :)

oh, and i noticed you've quickly passed the 100 post mark. I told you once you actually started posting it would get addictive :D

Actually, #4 is far and away my favorite image here. Sure, the vignette could've been subtler but I really the like the light play going on.

For me, the runner up is #5...I just find the tilt uncomfortable.

i know what you mean, it isn't tilted really, just not shot straight on, your right though it is somewhat unsettling

Where on earth is that "town" of yours? Photo 4 looks like you are posting pics right out of fairy-tale land!?!?
And this being the case (the house looking so Hansel-and-Gretel'ish, if you see what I mean?) I don't mind the vignetting ...

I don't understand a thing about who and whose style you were studying, since I am totally "underexposed" to anything photography-related (the masters, you know, and the theory behind it), never took neither art nor photography classes ever, but I still like the POV of your Photo 1. But it was the SUN that creates this light and these shadows, not you and a flash, wasn't it?

I like Photo 5 best of the whole series here.

Agree with you there on 5 Laphoto - 4 looks a bit too posed for a "candid" shot to me, but all good imho.

# 4 & 5 are my fav, the vignetting does not bother me. The feeling in the image is felt regardless of the corners, great images.

Peter Witham

lafoto, google weegee. he was great fun, the first poperazzi, but he wasn't a dick by any stretch. he did stuff like, use infrared with an infra red flash from the war and take pics of people in movie theatres etc.

thanks for all the comments everyone
