Pictures from my trip to Canada - Part I

I thought that one would be a nice start, since that was what it looked like the day that we left. We had two teams of people going to two different villages in Sasakuan (sp?). They are both in northern Sask. We were there for 10 days to do VBS (Vacation Bible School) with the kids, and Bible studies for the teens and adults.

4.We used a projector for our VBS and afterwards I had one of the other guy to throw a ball at it. I kind of liked this picture

5.This is Denise. She is nine years old and attatched to me the first day. Most of these kids come from acoholic families, where the kids are pushed out the door at the ages as young as two to somewhat fend for themselves. Denise's dad is an acoholic and she spent most of her time knocking on our door so that we could let her in just so that someone would pay attention to her. These kids needed so much love that they obviously didn't get at home. I honestly wish I could adopt her.

6.This is Carlos. He was such a sweet kid. (And a good basketball player.)

Ah, this explains the photo "Love ME", too!
Now you no longer need to go into that thread and tell me the story, Chris. I think I'm getting it already.

Now that sounds like a very rewarding vacation for all involved, the kids who got taken somewhere else for a period of 10 days to get as much attention as they ever can get, and for you, too, I am sure, for it comes back as a reward to be good to others!

Tilted inside of the church or not ... I really like that photo. HDR I assume? If so: well done. Subtle. Good.

Between Photos 2 and 3 I prefer the straight lines of 2, but this is a matter of tastes. Clear blocks, lines and shapes just speak to me more than tilts (contradicts what I have just said about the inside of the church, eh?, but hey, not quite so, for it is the COLOUR and the detail of the church pic that grabs me, so I can easily overlook the tilt there).

And is Michelle a boy or a girl? For "Michelle" (spelt like this) is a girl's name...

Please continue to look after Denise and be there for her, will you? I know you will!

And those flowers ... they are in full bloom everywhere round here now, too, and I don't know their name, either. Doh :er:!

Michell is a boy. I'm not the best at spelling sorry about that. The one in Love ME is a girl by the name of Daniele. It's a Cree thing to cut the girls hair short for some reason.
