Okay, I know I said "Nevermore."
Couldn't help myself.
First is a Roseate Spoonbill
They kinda look prehistoric.
Both taken in Florida this spring.

Hmmm.. I've never seen birds like that before. Interesting looking, to say the least. Nice captures. The second one would've been perfect if the wings weren't clipped at the bottom. Nice detail on the birds!

great shots... we have a place where rosetta spoonbills come stay for a while, i wouldnt say they nest here, but they are just passin' thru for a month or so..anyway, we have tried to get up there to see them, but have yet to make it..that is a good shot there...and yes, they are prehistoric looking, but really cool too...very neat looking when they are standing....good job...

Nice birds, they do look very pterodactyl-ish.

The first shot is nice, unfortunately the muggy sky seems to wash out the head & neck area of the bird. The second is lovely, except i have to agree with calliope.

Overall nice shots, looking forward to more.
:)

Love the first one. Wierd looking thing, but the pics are great .

Great captures. Very crisp . Love the detail of the left wing in 2nd shot. And # 1 is a nice shot , but dam ! that's an ugly crow.
