Hey Chris, I see you online right now ... makes me finally upload these and ask you what I had wanted to ask you ever since the beginning of May, what is this plant called?

Sorry I had to scoot off to work. I think Hoppy is right. We call them Cherry Laurel here. They are not a 'true' Laurel. They are more closely related to cherry, plum and peach trees. Don't eat the berries, they are very bitter.

Corinna, I love the lighting in the first one. :thumbup:

"Kirschlorbeer" -- now THAT makes sense to me. ("Cherry Laurel" translates verbatim into "Kirschlorbeer" ;)). Thank you, the two of you!

And yes, a very slanting evening sun lit up the bush from behind, which fascinated me enough to run into the house and grab the camera - actually this light applies to all three of these, but it got less and less slanting as the weeks approached ;).
