Hey there
I was bored so since is was a snowy day I decided to try doing a self portrait with natural light (since I do not have a studio, :( ). Is the shadows on the face bad? I was kindof going for that effect but not sure if I got it right. Anything else?? Thanks :D

i do not think the shadow is bad at all since it does not swallow any details ... it adds to the image IMHO :)

I think it is nicely shot!

However, way too soft and dreamy for me (filter? postprocessing?), but that is just me maybe ;)

yay! I am trying to get better with light... so I thought I would try this today. Sorry about the softness... I had to cut myself out and I did a bad job at it... so I am hiding that fact :D. Still a lot to learn. Thanks Alex.

The shadow looks fine to me, good job.

It is rather soft and dreamy...but that seems to work for this shot.

Thanks so much for all of your comments
now as I look at teh pic more... I notice dark circles... I have a problem with gimp getting rid of such things... and suggestions? Or is it not that noticible?
