I just wanted to get ya'lls opinion on this purchase. Do you think I am paying too much or just right. Everything is in near mint condition. The camera only has some light brassing where the neck strap connects. Please be honest and let me know what you think. The main reason for purchasing this camera is because my dad bought one as his first camera in 1975 and I wanted to do the same. Here is a list of what I will get for $400. Thanks.

- Minolta XE-7 + Batteries - (in camera), Neck Strap Ser.# 1050336

- Minolta MC Rokkor-PG 1:1.2 f = 58mm (Normnal Lens) Ser.# 2717913. + UV filter, lens cap and hood. * You read right--1:1.2 f = 58mm This is the fastest lens Minolta ever made.

- Minolta MD Zoom 35-135mm 1:3.5-4.5 lens--Ser.# 1022936. + UV filter, lens cap & hood.

- Minolta MD Zoom 70-300mm 1:4.5-5.8 lens - Ser.# 54201091 + UV filter, lens cap & hood.

- Auto Vivitar Wide Angle 28mm 1:2.5 lens - Ser.# 22913575 + UV filter, lens cap & hood.

- HCE Vari-Close-Up Lens - Ser.# B40634 + lens cap, case & Instruction Manual.

- FILTERS:

1. HCE 55MM Polarizer & Case.

2. Hoya 55mm FL-Day filter

3. Minolta 55mm Y48 Yellow filter

4. Hoya 55mm 80B Blue filter

5. Vivitar 55mm Red 25 filter

6. Tiffen 55mm Adapter Ring Series 7

- Eyepiece---"Minolta Eyepiece Hood EH-7" (For viewfinder on camera)

- "Kodak Master Photoguide" Pocket edition.

- Hoya Filters & Lens Accessories Catalog

- Camera System Carrying Bag, "Samigon" Tan and brown-- almost like new.

- Original MANUALS:

1. Minolta XE-7

2. Minolta Guide to Minolta SLR System

3. Minolta MC Rokkor-X Lenses

4. Minolta Depth of Field Chart Booklet

5. Minolta 35-135mm f-3.5-4.5 MD Zoom Owner's Manual

6. Minolta 70-300mm f-4.5-5.8 MD Zoom Owner's Manual

I'd say it's a fair price! If everything is as mint as you describe it, go for it. Good luck.

All that stuff would cost about $500 from a reputable used dealer, but it would include a warranty/return policy. I think $400 is an okay deal, but not a good deal. $300 or less would be a good deal.
