Hello,

I was and will take photos at the swim meet for my sons. Mostly will start at noon with very bright sun.

I would think that polarized filter would help to get better pics such as cut down the glare, help on washed out colors.

What is your advice?

Thank you,

It may help,
What are the rules about photography at the swim
Here,UK, you would probably not be allowed to photograph the swim

It can't hurt to use it, it but at noon, you're going to get limited effect from it, so don't expect miracles. The maximum effect of a CPOL is achieved when the sun is lowest in the sky and at 90 degrees to the lens axis.

I do not think it would help much. I would go without it.

Thank you very much. Okay, I will skip it for now, this is for 400mm 2.8 drop in filter. I might just rent it in the future to try it out but I guess it will be a while due to Coronavirus.
