Speaking from a consumer end and not noob photographer end, the number of pics you have are just fine. I thought your pictures were very well organized and not so many that they were overwhelming. In fact, I thought it was just perfect.

Some of the comments about DoF and similar styles in your pictures are spot on. It takes a while to rebuild a whole portfolio and I don't see any reason why you should re-shoot. Just add and take away along the process. Porfolios are living and breathing things that grow and change along the way.

As to the technical side of things, your flash is terribly slow and bloated. Hence all of the browser compatibility issues. It sounds like it would be too much for your husband to write a completely new platform for your site. If so, consider using wordpress.

Your husband sounds like a computer smart guy. He can probably set it up and get you a professional website running in two hours with wordpress.
