Portrait Bokeh, lens choice

I use the Nikon 50mm f1.8G. Very nice bokeh and works great for the 8x10 prints I put on the wall.

I would agree that the Nikon 85mm f1.8G is even better but it's a bit tight indoors (if you were to use it indoors) and cost more.

There are many options but I would start with the 50mm f1.8G since the price is so good and see if it gives you what you want.

What camera body is the OP using? If it will meter AIS lenses they may be options as well. Pro glass for less than half the price FTW!
