Portrait of an Angel

I shot this with my new EF 100mm f/2.8 I got for Christmas. The print isn't as bright as the one that was on the CD.

Cool pic of a cute cat. I like the close-up. For my personal taste, I would lighten the cat, and then crop it to 4:5 ratio (8x10). There's a lot of bright space on the right, and it pulls my attention. A person's eyes tend to go to the light areas of an image, so brightening the cat and reducing the amount of background will keep the background from fighting with the subject. While making that crop, I might take just a little off the left, so that the eye goes back to the left third division.

On the pring it looks much better. The bright part is much more in the background than it is here and sassy's color is better. They photo cd's always show things more dramatic. I'll see what I can do with this one. On the print I can't even see the color in the background.

Oops. This is another one I saw after my monitor software was disabled. I actually think the cat is fine. I'd just crop.
