Practicing with my new SB-600

Hi all,

Here is one of my practice shots using my new flash... Some might find the hair in her face distracting; but it is ALWAYS there. She wouldn't look right if it wasn't there :greenpbl: I would really love some feedback on this! THANKS


Settings: 50mm, f3.5, SS 1/80 sec

 

She has beautiful eyes!

 

Not bad! Did you use a bounce card or diffuser or it is just straight forward? Also, was the flash sitting on the camera or lifted with a bracket?

 

On camera bouncing off something to the left am I right?

If this was on camera it was flawlessly executed.

 

There were two windows on the left. My flash was on-camera and bounced off the ceiling or the wall behind me (don't remember now...)
