Thanks everybody. Lungfarmer, the sundown flowers is my favorite actually. Something about the richness of the colors and variety of lush vegetation combined with the seeming neverending horizon of the prairie gives me such a feeling of abundance and freedom.
Here is a panorama of an incredibly intense thunderstorm. People in it described it as a solid wall of water hitting them. The horizon is about 30 miles wide edge to edge and the closest edge of the storm is over 15 miles away. The lighting was so uneven that each of the five pictures I combined had a different exposure AND a different color balance. It took a lot of work to get the color and brightness even enough to not look terrible.
