pre 1960s cameras

My initial thought was for some of the lovely old folding cameras I've picked up, but you do need to be careful of the film type if you plan on using them - many film formats are no longer available.

You mean like my 110 cameras :D

Large format roll film. negative size is 5"x4". Alliance Roll Film Camera Co, manufactured between 1898 and 1904.

Of course this is the classic British post WWII large format camera.

With the Dallmeyer WA and extension rail.

Kodak Specialist 2 only made and sold in the UK usually with a 203mm f7.7 Ektar good from infinity to 1:1, and optional Dallmeyer 110mm WA. Essentially an upgrade of the British made version of the Kodak 2D Half plate camera. Most of the movements are geared as is the sliding block and the trackbed and extension rail have a metric metal rule to measure the extension exactly.

I've just rebuilt another MPP MicroTechnical MkIII since posting images of my first on Saturday. It came as parts with my first but stripped down and has sat in a box for 3 years.

I stripped off the old covering which was damaged and partially missing, recovered it in dark blue material, the rebuilt it I wasn't sure I had all the screws etc but there were excess and it was apparent there were parts from a third camera.

My 1960's Linhof Color uses that same "pegged" rear standard movement and screw-locking system!
