Pre Order how long did you wait?

I have a D800E on pre oreder and has been for about three weeks. What is the average wait time? Will I get it in time for Christmas?

1 month... on the D800.

I waited a total of 3 months for both of my D800's.

I ordered a D4 on the day it was announced and was still waiting for it a month ago... so like 4-5 months before I gave up.

If you go to a local store and order, I hear you'll wait like 2-3 weeks.

If you order from B/H or Adorama... well... don't hold your breath.

Well I ordered from Adarama. The nearest camera store is a good 80 miles away. I am in no hurry.
