Pride and Joy- Seth

Just wanted to share this pic. taken at a local park of my pride and joy. Turned 1 Year old just acouple weeks ago.

That is an excellent shot in so many ways.
Not only is it a great portait but the use of size and age - big old tree v's small young (and cool) child.
I'm sure it's already printed, framed and hung on a wall.

I posted this pic on Photosig and kept getting the same critique about cropping it tighter. Like you I think the old tree adds proportion. Plus I thought that using only the texture of the tree trunk as a background he would some how get lost and the story would quite be the same.

Very cute kid. I like the picture a lot.

May be the edge of the kid body is too sharp (sharpen too much?), look like the kid was being pasted to the background in photoshop.
