Print exchange #3 update...

I've recieved 3 out of 5 prints from everyone. Karalee's might have arrived as well (the address they were sent to is my parents address, so it could've shown up and my parents forgot to tell me about it. I'll find out next time I go there.)

As far as the last person geranimo hasn't responded to any of my attempts to contact him. So I'm going to replace him with the person who was interested in doing the exchange....

... my mom!

So as soon as she gets her prints made I'll send out the packages. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, hopefully you'll be pleased with the results. :sillysmi:

oops, i was about to search and bump up the old thread asking where the prints all were. Now that you mention it, i havent' seen geranimo around the forums lately... that sucks too since I like his stuff.

Well karalee's did not arrive unfortunately and she hasn't responded to any of my attempts to contact her. But I don't expect her to take very long once she see's them. My mom's prints have arrived so now we're just waiting on hotlips. Then they will ship a.s.a.p.

I have an idea for the next print exchange look for a new thread.

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you about the prints, but Ive
just gotten out of the hospital.

I guess you can count me out of the print exchange, I cant afford to
have new prints redone cos Ive just dropped 150 on stupid medication
(well not stupid, but freakin expensive.)

At first I was going to ask if there would be any objections to me mailing her photos to her regardless, maybe it will make her feel better! :sillysmi:

I quickly decided that nobody would object to this, most of the patrons to this forum are over-whelmingly good hearted. (yes, you may pat yourself on the back.)

So all ado behind us I will mail the photos as is, you will recieve one less photo than expected, but I'm sure you won't mind.

All said and done I think the entire project took about 3 months, which in my personal opinion is a bit long. I think for the next exchange I host I will opt for the digital file where I print the copies locally, saving about 90% of the time of having them printed by everyone themselves.

I must apologize. In my personal opinion I took FAR too long to distribute the photos. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the results of nearly six months of fruitation!! If I host any photo exchanges in the future I will probably do only fully digital; I think that will reduce the time for everyone's waiting period substantially.

Oh and make sure you let everyone know what photo you submitted to garner interest!

What is the print exchange? who can be included? i am very interested and want some info, thanks.

It's pretty simple, you print 4 copies of a photo you like. Mail those copies to the person orgainizing the exchange. That person distributes one photo from each person, and mails the photos back to you. The end result is you get 4 photos of other people's work at a pretty cheap cost (4 prints of your photo).
