Hi,

I was thinking of buying a CISS for my Epson printer and wondered if anyone had any experiences of these systems. I am a little dubious with the ink and if it will work but they seem to work from the videos and will be so much cheaper.

Any thoughts on this would be great. Do most of you print your photos at home or get them printed by professionals?

Cheers guys

Tom

Printing at home you limit yourself to the type, size, and the paper types you can print on.

Often a chromogenic print will work better than an inkjet print. Sometimes a very high quality inkjet print, a Giclée, is the way to go.

Also at issue is the archival nature of the inks and papers you use. Adding UV, fingerprint protection to a home made print is also problematic.

So, I use a variety of online consumer and pro labs to all my prints.

Hi) I have Epson P50 with CISS. using it for a year and there were no problems with it. I bought not the cheap one CISS, so the prints' quality is great. If u're interested, the manufacturer is INKSYSTEM company.
