Pro-grade photos with a point and shoot camera?

So I was looking for sample images of the Sony-V3, because I was in the market for a compact digi-cam.

I happened to come across this young woman's portfolio. I was surprised she uses a pocket-size "point-and-shoot" in most of her photographs (the Sony P10). Several commented on this...

Exactly. But I was more surprised because the discontinued P10 is basically a featureless camera, with almost no "creative controls".

Imagine if everyone was equipped with only a P10...some would complain it doesn't have a 45-point advanced focusing system, then there will be those individuals who can churn out miracles!

I need to go back to shooting with my $15 Holga.
