Problem with recording disco lights

Hey, I was working in recording a video in a disco. All was good, except when they put that "flash" white lights, that the camera records them ugly, like haf the plane is white and other half is dark, and they go from down to up instead be uniform. Here i leave you an example of what my camera records:




Do you know how can i record it properly?

You will have to record when the flash is not occurring. Or, maybe you can crop out a few frames at each flash?

Yeah thats what i have done but sometimes there are cool planes and destroyed with that flash and cuting some frames sometimes work sometimes not. I thought maybe It was another solution for record it correctly.
