Problem With Refine Edge Brush PS

Anyone else recently having problems with the Refine Edge Brush in Select and Mask? After an update last week, when I try to use the brush either nothing happens or only minimal selection takes place? The other thing is sometimes the brush tip changes to a cursor arrow when I'm trying to brush an edge., very annoying?

Should have known, but would have been nice if Adobe would have included a little note in the October update that NIVIDIA was also releasing a major upgrade to their graphics card driver to be able to use PS

Update on PS problems. Before it got to late last night I edited another shot. Everything seemed to be working properly again. No wonky brushes or screen freezes like before. If you have a GeForce GPU would highly recommend updating driver.
