great shot! i would've either found a way to accentuate the lip-ring, or removed it. it's a little distracting the way it is now... looks like it could be some drool - or a piece of food. i realize you were going for a true profile, but maybe a little closer to 3/4 profile would help with the lip-ring and also take some of the attention away from his ear. otherwise, the shot is fantastic and feels very contemplative. nice job!
