Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm curious what people here do to protect against loss.
Do you keep all your photos in one place?
Do you have them protected with lock and key?
Do you have insurance against loss?
Do you use any sort of special containers?

Sometimes I wonder what I would do if for example, the roof started leaking all over my important collection.

At our studio we have security cameras and an alarm system. Cops will get there in 2 minutes. We have insurance but if we ever get broken into we will only be covered once and will then be dropped..

The photos that I have printed off and etc I keep in plastic totes.. along with all my scrapbooking stuff.

I keep all my negs sleeved in a set of binders, in a small fire-safe thing.

I'm thinking that it might be a good practice to keep only the work that I plan to use in the near future nearby, and put the other work in some sort of a safe, undisclosed location.

I have a memory of a friend that was a baseball card collector. He literally had hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cards, and the roof collapsed during a storm and ruined much of his collection. Can you imagine something like this happening to someone?
