Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello,

I had a potential client ask if I had a document to provide that would grant her the rights to print. She said her friend had been denied the rights to print in the past without some documentation they had the rights. This is regarding wedding photos.

I am looking to better understand how you officially provide full rights to print/share etc to a client.

Thanks

Type up a form that grants the client rights to print your photos.

Here is a sample I found by googling 'print release':

Places like Costco, et al. will often refuse to print "professional looking" photos without some sort of release like this...

You could try pro photographers organizations' websites like ASMP or PPA; they have resources and guidelines available.

It's all in the wording. For some reason "Print Release" wasn't coming to mind. But as soon as you said, light bulb! My search results were a mixed bag of "Who has" and "Why dont I have" results.
