Driving South yesterday and passed the Salton Sea , stopped by a place I like to go to now and then to grab a few shots. Yes for those of you who do not know we do have a Sea in the U.S. even though it is Dying due to contamination etc. at one time it was great for fishing, boating etc. There is a plan to try and revive it but believe I will not see it in my lifetime. Salton Sea Authority - A Joint Powers Agency Chartered by the State of California | Our Plan if you ever visit California it may make for a decent shooting trip as long as you know where to go.

Messing around with 80-400VR , normally does okay in bright daylight and has a decent range, not the sharpest lens in the bag but good walk around lens.

Kind of sad to see the Sea dying, hopefully the cleanup starts soon , know it would create plenty of jobs.
