It's actually a pheasant and yes we did eat it. Waste not, want not.

BTW, I apologize if these photos offend anyone. My husband just reminded me that everyone on the forum may not be as pro hunting as we are.

Well, I am not particularly pro hunting, but since I eat meat, I should be honest to myself: someone DID kill the animals of which I eat parts (in my stead), too. So I did not feel offended. Only would I not want to hunt myself.

These are good captures. I am not a hunter myself but I have a great deal of respect for the amount of skill and training and love that goes into training a dog. He seems like a natural to me!

Thanks for all of your comments. Jake (the dog) is a labrador and loves to hunt. I'm not a hunter myself but I just can't resist watching him have so much fun.
