I've seen people with what look like their actual signature on a photo. How do they do this to a digital picture? If not what fonts are good for making look like a signature? Thanks guys.

If you do it like that I would use a black sharpie or something like that. A Pen would most likely end up very hard choppy after trying to get rid of the white. If you have a PDA you might be able to e-mail it to yourself. There are some things I've seen that allow you to have your handwriting on your screen, not sure who makes them or anything about them though. But I wouldn't want to worry about buying something like that just to get your exact signature on some photos.

You can look at all of these fonts for some you like...

(Those are the categories under the script header minus the graffiti)

Wacom (www.wacom.com) have a range of tablets that you can write on and use as your mouse that are really great. That is if you're looking into that. It's great to use when you're painting in PS (or signing your name) Although it does get a little bit of getting used to.

Also you can use it with other applications like Microsoft Word. It can be a little cumbersome sometimes but get used to it and use your mouse at the same time well and it can be great. Plus Word is able to convert it into typed text very very well I've found... but I've got pretty neat handwriting so I guess that helps.

here is an article I found on the subject. I have not tried it yet but it covers a couple of ways of doing it, including scanning an actual signature and applying it.

Article here.

All you have to do is sign your name to a piece of paper with a dark pen, I use a shapie. Then you scan it in and make your signature into a brush and stamp it on your pictures. There is an article about it on the forum here...lemme do some searching and show you how.

Ok, well, I got my sig on the computer. I'm just trying to figure out how to do this easily. I need to just cut the letters out. You can see where I just quickly lassoed out the sig. I suck really bad at lassoing. Is there an easy way to get the sig out. I just need it cut all the way out so it the photo will go all the way up to the letters. Or someone else could do it for me ;) Haha, thanks guys.

Just do a select color range, put the dropper on the white, select inverse, and you have your sig selected to use as the brush. ;)

hmmmm, i was told never to put a signiture on your computer or online. if i was a good hacker, think of all the things i could put that signiture on.....

if you have photoshop the best way is to not worry about seleting anything
open the picture you want it on. then copy and paste the signiture image on a layer over the picture. then in the layers palate change the blending mode to darken.

if it isnt dark enough select the signiture layer and open up the levels dialog box. click on the far left eyedropper and then click on the black part of the signiture. that will make it 100% black.

oh and if you want to put it on an image with a dark background invers the signerature so that the text is white and the area around it is black. then just change the blending mode to lighten.
