Q: posing

Hello all, I have a portrait shoot coming up in 2 weeks with a small family (mom, 2 sons age 10/7). They were looking for something that they might use in their Christmas cards. Mom was pretty vague, saying something casual maybe with them sitting in the floor. Anyone want to share their thoughts on possible poses? I'm starting to get a decent handle on the photography part, but I'm pretty poor at coming up with ideas for poses. Any comments are appreciated.

Have them all wearing green or red. If you have any santa hats or if they do, tell them to bring them, for a chrismas card, i'd go for tight crops, them smushed together and somehow position them into a triangle, that way the viewers eye is going all over the place.
