Question about matting software

I have iphoto on my Mac and there is a small feature under printing and lets you compare different mat types and color combinations. I really like this feature because it lets you preview what your photo could look like framed and what colors would look best. I am wondering if anyone knows of any software out there for ether OS that does this also. If so I would like to check it out. Thank You
