Question for those who sell books to clients

Hello everyone! I LOVE photobooks and I want to start offering that option to clients. I plan on designing it myself from a clients session when they choose to purchase one. However, I was wondering if I should send the client a proof of the book before ordering? should I have them pick a few of their favorite pictures to go in there? It will be very simple, not heavily graphed or anything, just focusing on the pictures.

So for all those who sell photobooks, do you send a proof (like a pdf via email) for the client to approve before ordering? Does the client pick out the pictures? Or do they just trust it to you?
