Hi there, a while back I saw ,on adorama, a n8008 or n8008s with a 110 or 220 film back. I don't think I'm looking in the right spot or typing in the right words (unless it was a typo?) but does anyone here know how to change them ? And where and what kind of back to use ?

    Thanks !

I sort of doubt that this would exist. Are you sure you read this right, or were you thinking of the data backs that are interchangeable?

It was a few months ago. I wish I would have gotten a screen shot. It could have been a typo. I have a f801 with a data back but saw this for sale and it made me wonder.

Could have been a typo. I've seen it before. A while back I saw a nikon ( or canon) for sale with the opposite photo on the description. I.e- d800 with 5d mk iii photo. Not trying to sling mud- just had me curious if it was for real or a typo. Thanks for the clarification. If it was really an option, I would mod my f801 lol

I had to check, but the n8008 is a 35mm Nikon, right? I'm not sure how it would be possible to put a medium-format back on that camera. It might be, but I've just never heard of it. I know they came with different kinds of 35mm backs - like a data back that put time/date info on the negative, or one that would allow more than one roll of film. Stuff like that.

Trust me, that's why i started looking it up. I know what the various MF data backs are. Maybe instead if MF 20, they typed 220 back? I can see someone typing wrong. Had me even thinking how would it work with lens selection.

Like I said, not trying to ruffle feathers. Just genuinely curious. Man I wish I had saved a screen shot.

Oh, if it existed, it would be pretty neato! Adorama is such a tease ;)

Maybe just the wrong listing with the wrong camera (listing for a med. format camera by mistake). Medium format cameras may have different backs for 120 and 220 film. 110 only fits 110 instamatics so that definitely would have been a typo! lol

Looked at their site and I see a couple of N8008s under Used but no mention of interchangeable anything, so I'd guess they since corrected the listing or sold that camera.

MF is Multi-Function, the data back prefix Nikon used for data backs for Nikon film cameras introduced in the 1980's and 1990's. Now, there WERE some Polaroid backs for 35mm Nikons, made by I want to say the NPC company. My F3HP has an MF-14 back on it.
