Rainy Day Blooms

Got out yesterday for a walk in the rain. I only got the camera a little wet. We're having freaky weather here in St. Louis at the end of July. Today the forecast high is 76 F, 20 degrees below expectation -- got to go pull weeds in the garden.

I like the second shot. A great time to pull weeds is after a good,soaking rain! But then, you already knew that.

Derrel, yep when the ground's wet you can get em out by the roots. Today my back is killing me. Not only did we pull weeds but the garden is now producing more than we can eat. I hung bags of cucumbers and eggplant on neighbor's doors and we had to break out the canner and put up a batch of green beans. Today pickles.
