Rangefinders

Went looking for a rangefinder and ended up with a Yaschica 35 Electro and Canonet QL-17 for about 50 bucks. I figured if they didn't work, I could use them as paperweights. The Yaschica works great. The shutter on the Canon doesn't function. Does Canon still service Canonets?

Find some cheaper paperweights.I gave up on cute heartbreaker rangefinders some time ago. Of the half dozen or so I bought, all pooped out, mostly from age-related problems. No luck getting them refurbed. Canon wouldn’t touch anything that old. My Fuji X100-T stopped me jonesing for film rangefinders.
