RAW + Basic = two JPEGS?

I found this while trying to figure this out. I am gonna try pulling pictures from the card instead of through the camera. that was the method recomended.

Just put the card in the reader and I see all the NEF files that were showing as jpegs before. So it is somewhere between the camera and the pc doing it. oh well, guess I will be using the reader a whole lot more.
