Ok I just shot for an entire day and just got home to load the pictures on and they are opening really small... When I try to resize them they pixelate really bad... Any idea what is going on? I really hate to think that I just lost 300+ pictures

camera, software used, etc. cause there isn't too much info to help

camera, software used, etc
That would help :D

What size are they, in pixels?

Look at your camera settings. It sounds like you are shooting at Jpeg/sm or raw Jpeg/sm. Just a guess.

I have a Nikon D50 if I swith to JPEG the pics come out fine once I put it on RAW they come up like a thumbnail when I try to enlarge them they are just a blurry mess... They look perfectly fine in my viewfinder though. I am using Gimp... I tried it on my brothers comp too and it did the same thing.

All this problem may be that you are not converting the RAW files into viewable images. If Gimp doesn't have an intrinsic RAW converter, you won't see anything.

If the file are around 8 M in size that may well be the issue.
Download http://drchung.new21.net/previewextractor/ and it will 'look' at your raw files.
But you will have to download Rawconverter to make the RAW files into anything usable.

Thus underlines the importance of giving all the details about a problem - camera, software, etc - when you are posting a question.

Jeez sorry about not giving all of the info... Gimp used to convert them for me but now it isnt working... i will try what you said though. Thanks

I had the same problem you did, but then I tired opening the images with the software that D50 came with and the images came up perfect.
