Not where I thought I'd end up
I've spent a few hours tonight scanning, cropping, and adjusting some prints from last summer... Waiting for this summer...

Thank you for looking...

The first shot was a very foggy morning which is why it looks washed out and underexposed. Any tips for getting more detail in fog shots without blowing out highlights such as te sky will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Yes, I also like the heron pic very much ... and actually I also like the "this-is-a-scanned-print" aspect of it all, the touch of graininess there. I really like that. Seems to add some more depth to the photo.
You had some sweet light to your advantage when you took that one.

Thanks for the replies... Actually, that heron scared the hell outta me 'cause I didn't see him until I was about 3 or 4 feet away and then he squawked at me. I turned around, went back to my car, pulled out my camera, mounted the 100-300 zoom with a 2x converter and, voila. It's a bit out of focus but I suppose that's the 2x - surely it wouldn't be my old eyes... A couple diopters are on my shopping list...lol
