I'm looking for a 400 ISO print film.
I like high saturation, and large grain.

I've got a bunch of stuff in my fridge, but nothing that covers that 400 ISO range. Just wandering what people think would be a good choice.

B&W or Color?

Colour please. I've had good results with Kodak's BW400CN in that range for a black and white film, though at that ISO, I prefer Ilford's HP5+.

If you want really large grain, why not just shoot 800?

But a good saturation 400 speed film is Kodak Portra 400 VC.

I've been shooting Superia 1600 and Portra 800 for the grain, but I'm interested in exploring other film and finding stuff that works for me.

I guess it was a bit of a dumb question though, and I should just experiment with a bunch of different films to see what gives me results I like.

I've ordered some Pro 400H, along with some Ektar so I'll get around to experimenting with various films over the next few weeks.

I would recommend kodak portra 400VC and NC if in the ISO 400 range. Find the saturated color in VC giving me more of the grain texture which often is beautiful.
